Waning Half Moon

Saturday 23rd November

The Waning Half Moon invites reflection on the journey we've been on this moon cycle. It's a moment to pause and ask:

  • What was revealed to me at the peak of the Full Moon?

  • Did it come through in my health, mind, sleep, or external relationships?

  • What was the overarching theme?

This phase aligns with the energies of autumn, a time of shedding and releasing, allowing what no longer serves us to return to the earth. Just as autumn prepares the soil for new seeds, the Waning Half Moon asks us to do the same within.

There is a subtle knowing that it’s time to let go—whether it’s a habit, a relationship, or even an old belief system.

Perhaps what has supported us in the past is now hindering our growth. It could be a dependency or pattern that once offered comfort or protection, but now it steals from our life force.

The Waning Half Moon offers us the opportunity to surrender those crutches, shedding what we no longer need to rise into a new phase.

Practices for this phase:

  • Write down what no longer serves you – get it out of your head and onto paper, allowing space for the new.

  • Enjoy cozy spice drinks – nourishing and grounding, keeping your internal fire gently burning through the season.

  • Clear out and organize – whether it's your home, your schedule, or your mind, tidying up creates room for what’s to come.

As you move through this phase, trust that the fruits of your efforts are coming forward. Keep your heart open, and your senses alive, stay attuned to the love and transformation unfolding.

This is a time of quiet readiness, preparing for what lies ahead. Stay connected to the cycles of release and renewal.

Moon Meditation

Sidereal Astrology

Sidereal vs. Tropical Astrology

Sidereal astrology uses the real positions of the stars in the sky to create your chart. It differs from tropical astrology. Because the Earth’s position slowly shifts over time, sidereal astrology reflects where the stars actually are today, while tropical astrology keeps the zodiac signs fixed to the seasons. As a result, your zodiac sign might be different in sidereal astrology compared to tropical astrology.

Sun in Scorpio

🌞 Sun in Scorpio (Water element)

Scorpion: Deep, transformative, secretive, fierce in defense, embracing the power of renewal and the shadows within.

As the Sun transitions from Libra into Scorpio, things may have been revealed to us, and now it’s time to welcome the truth.

The truths we've uncovered invite us to face our own shadow, to embrace the deeper parts of ourselves that we might have avoided. The vulnerability we feel in this moment is not weakness but strength.

It takes such courage to take radical responsibility for ourselves.

This is a time to reflect on how we can bring balance into our lives—particularly in our closest relationships. It's a moment to look at the balance between giving and receiving, exploring how we express ourselves on a much deeper honest level.

We've seen what we needed to see, and now it's time to step through the door, shedding old skin and outdated patterns of thinking and acting. The magic lies in our ability to feel, to be courageous enough to allow those emotions to move through us, even when they don't make complete sense or feel particularly wonderful.

Tip for this week: Not everyone is ready to dive deep, and that's okay.

If you find someone who is, hold space for one another, listen, and share openly. If not, use this time to journal and sit with those emotions—let yourself feel them all the way through.

While there may be many rabbit holes and the mind might seek to fix or soothe, stay grounded in your healthy daily routine. Let sleep, rest, nourishment, and movement continue to anchor you, preventing the mind from taking over and disrupting your wellness choices in its quest to reveal the truth.

Trust that all will unfold at the right time.

Moon in Leo

🌙 Moon in Leo (Fire element)

Lion: Bold, fearless, regal, a leader with a heart full of strength and warmth, protector of the tribe.

This week, look forward to a time of enjoyment, hope, and sensuality. Leo brings us the energy of expression, encouraging us to celebrate creativity and the joy of being alive. This complements the 🌞 Sun in Scorpio, which is inviting us to deep dive into our truth, by offering a beautiful balance—an inspiration to create a protected space for expression and creativity.

As we near the end of this moon cycle, we are wrapping up what we've been working toward. This is a time to honor both the deep emotional work and the lightness that comes with play and creative expression.

How can you bring this into your life this week?

Leo, the lion, is all about art, solidity, and truth. It supports the depth of our emotions with movement and expression. It's a reminder that our truth can be grounded and yet dynamic—expressed through art, dance, voice, and creation.

Practice for this phase:

  • Write a list of what brings you joy – Reflect on the things that light you up, that make your heart sing, that make you feel alive.

  • Can you commit to this time? – This is a release, a time to play, to remember the beauty of simply being, without expectation. Make space for enjoyment, expression, and the freedom that comes from letting go and diving into what makes you feel good.

Tarot Reading with Sian Maria

Wild Woman Oracle:

• A Moonlight Dance (Feminine Energy) - Tap into feelings and sensations. Be with everything that comes to you, both physically and emotionally.

• The Goddess Incarnate (Body Positivity) - You are the Goddess, you are the power, you are the energy. Know yourself and love all that you see. Tune into your own sense of self first so that you can hold this same space for others.

• Season of the Witch (Magic) - Calling us to again tap into our own power and the magic within us. Understanding our own abilities and what we can manifest. This again leads us to what we can do for others once we fully understand it ourselves.

Norse Tarot:

• Queen of Cups - Bringing in even more feminine energy, with an emphasis on confidence and truly knowing your own power and ability to lead and help others. Trust your instincts and your magic, and know that you have what it takes to hold space for those around you.

• The Emperor - Calling in the masculine side of leadership. The strength, courage and ability to accomplish. Protect and lead your community with confidence and authenticity.

• Justice - Bring in this balance of both masculine and feminine as we look to how we can lead and guide our community. Know that whatever we do will come back to us, so be mindful as you take on this responsibility of leadership. Be conscious of how you move forward and what energy you will be opening yourself up to in the future.

This is the message I sent to my sister after watching: WOW the sidereal reading and your card pull are so aligned—it’s wild! With the Sun in Scorpio, it’s all about going deep into our feelings, owning our truth, and shedding old patterns. Like the Queen of Cups, it’s reminding us to tap into that intuitive, emotional, feminine power.

Scorpio is intense but also super transformative—perfect for letting go of what doesn’t serve us. Then there’s the Moon in Leo, which brings the fun, creative, and sensual energy. It’s all about expressing yourself and doing what lights you up. This totally aligns with the Goddess Incarnate card—celebrating who you are, loving your body, and finding joy in just being. Feels like the perfect balance to all that Scorpio depth, you know?

The Season of the Witch and Leo energy tie it all together—finding your magic, manifesting from a place of self-love, and bringing that spark into your life. And with The Emperor and Justice, it’s like a nudge to lead with strength but also stay balanced—kind of like owning your power but keeping it grounded and fair.

So, it’s all about balancing the deep and sensual sides, being honest with yourself, and just stepping into your truth fully. Love you and Thank YOU!

Simple Waning Half Moon Ceremony

🌿 Create Your Sacred Altar

  • Gather items from nature (stones, leaves, flowers, branches) and arrange them thoughtfully on your altar.

  • As you create your altar, tune in to the energies holding you. Allow sensations to arise without judgment. Let yourself feel deeply and fully, welcome everything into this space.

  • Imagine going beyond limitations, being fully present in your body, and letting your creativity and expression ignite from the origin of your inner fire.

☕ Nourishing Preparation

  • Have nourishing foods and drinks like tea, water, or cacao ready to ground and support you during this time.

🔥 Reignite Your Inner Fire

  • Reflect on this question: "Where is the fire of passion and curiosity within me?"

  • Notice how it feels in your body. Let the sensations guide you and come back to this awareness throughout the ceremony.

🎨 Explore Your Creative Flame

  • Choose an activity that resonates with your unique energy: painting, playing music, singing, dancing, self-massage, making love, or any other creative expression.

  • Protect this time. Turn off your phone or any distractions. Let go of expectations about how this moment should unfold. Trust your instincts.

🛌 Integration and Stillness

  • When you feel your creative practice is complete, ask yourself what your heart desires at this moment. Honor the answer.

  • Spend the last 5-10 minutes lying still, integrating the experience. Breathe deeply, feeling the energy you've moved settle into your body and spirit.

Close the ceremony with gratitude for the space, your body, and the energy of the waning moon guiding you through release and transformation.

Summary

Mantra for this phase:

"I honor the depths of my being with courage and vulnerability and I express my truth with creativity and joy. I release what no longer serves me, making space for new growth, love, and light." ✨🦁
