Online Doula Support
Childbirth is a miraculous and transformative experience, but it is also unpredictable. Despite this, preparing for childbirth can greatly support expecting parents to feel more relaxed and confident as they approach the day their baby comes earth side.
One aspect of preparation is educating yourself about the birthing process and practicing ways to tune into your innate wisdom.
Understanding the physiology of birth and learning about different ways to be with all arisings and sensations will bring a deep sense if comfort. Also having knowledge can support you to make informed decisions about your birth plan, and to communicate your preferences effectively with your support team
Another important aspect of preparation is to develop mindfulness practices that can be used during labor, such as breathing exercises and visualization techniques. These practices can help to reduce anxiety, connect to each surge and create a sense of calm during your birthing experience.
Additionally, preparing your partner to be an active and supportive participant in the birth is essential. They can provide emotional support, help advocate for your preferences, and assist with comfort measures during labor and delivery.
Birthing preferences
2 x 1 hour calls $400
Birthing preferences, also known as a birth plan, are a way for expecting parents to clearly communicate their desires and preferences for the birth experience to their healthcare providers.
Having a birth plan helps expecting parents to think about and make informed decisions about the type of birth they want to have and the environment in which they want to give birth. It also allows them to communicate their preferences clearly and confidently to their birthing team so that everyone is on the same page.
In addition, birthing preference exercises can help expecting parents identify and understand their priorities and values regarding their birth experience.
